I've been blogging with Xanga for maybe 6 years, maybe longer, ya, longer I think for sure.
I should probably give some sort of a go with an introduction to this one, though I really only made it because I figured it'd be easier to keep up with Shannons if I had one too.
Hum, and introduction then...
I'll interject pictures from here and there, of myself and my motorcycles.
I'm 25 years old, I'm 6'5", and I weigh about 145 pounds when wet. I smoke pipe tobacco, two blends for the most part, Bombay Extra, and The Elm Park blend - the second I have to get from The Owl Shop in Worcester MA, it's a special blend of theirs. The first is stuff my father smoked back in the 70's.
Dad:
So That was pop in the '70s with his 1967 Norton Atlas. I ALWAYS wanted to be more like Dad. So here I am when I was about 20 trying to be more like Dad, as well as a bit of Steve McQueen, a hero shared by both myself and my father - who actually looked more like Peter Fonda:
That's the same bike by the way, just a bit older and worse for wear, I've done some work to it since Pop died - that was July 23 2007 - a life altering time for me. But I'm not going into that now, this is just an intro right?
So I'm creative, I work on bikes, I smoke my pipes (something I started after dad died), I listen to vinyl records, I carry a pocket watch, I dress like I'm from either the 1970s, 1950s, or the 1800s. It's not always intentional, it's just always been my sense of style.
By creative, I mean I've built motorcycles, designed little tools and gadgets, and since I LOVE to take a bath, I got around the whole no laptop in the tub thing - just before I left the East coast on an Epic motorcycle journey out West.
Might I add it was REALLY hard to get in and out of the tub with that setup? It was also (knowing how bad a computer can shock you if you tinker with it) one of those, this is brilliant but if I screw this up I'm dead - one of those kind of things.
I have two tattoos, both of which I got since I moved myself to Arizona, one is the Norton logo on my back, that was my first, the second is the Triumph logo on my chest. The Norton logo I speak of is the logo for the company that built that black bike featured in the upper two pictures - my favorite all time motorcycle company. Then Triumph is the bigger of the two because I have now owned two built in 1973 and one built in 2005 (which I inherited from Dad).
I was letting my hair go totally wild for a while, and so this was the combination of Jack in Arizona:
That tattoo Hurt Like Hell by the way, I was seeing purple before it was done. That's also my favorite pipe for sure.
Since that time stress and anxiety has put my hair on the run, and so it was look like a Monk from the middle ages or look like a skinhead. I chose the latter since I also like Irish Punk Rock, and so those two go dancing hand in hand in places - though I am not racist, but we gotta roll with the punches right?
Ok, so bikes. I've had about 18 in the last 5 years so I won't go about listing them. But right now I have a 2003 Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet that I have been rebuilding, it was sorely abused by its previous owner and the engine needed lots of work.

Then I have dad's 2005 Triumph T100 which is on it's way out here from the East Coast, that would be the white and tangerine bike in the middle there:
It would be worth pointing out that the bike you see in the bottom right is dad's old Norton Atlas, so when this was taken you had his first English Twin and his last English Twin out in the court yard. The red bike on the left is a 2005 Ducati 620 Multistrada which was actually my first bike, and it scared the hell out of me. I traded it for a 1973 Triumph 750, which was a LOT like Dad's old Norton.
Oh ya, and I'm studying to be a motorcycle mechanic.
I also like to be naked and often walk around such in my apartment, but unlike that bloke Shannon I was talking about I am somewhat hideous when naked, I look like a refugee. But I'm working on that.
Anyways, that's my intro. Wahoo.
